For Christmas, my wonderful sister (who is also a slash fan) gave me The Big Book of Filth: 6500 Sex Slang Words and Phrases by Jonathon Green, copyright 1999 by Cassell, a division of the Orion Publishing Group. Why did she give me this amazing gift? Well, because you can only use "cock" as a substitute for penis so many times. The cool thing about this book is that it not only lists the various potential euphemisms for various aspects of sex and sexuality, it also gives a date when the term came into popular usage. The only problem is that the various terms from the era we PotC slashers want are scattered all over the book. So, in an effort to keep myself sane and to provide a service to the PotC slash community, I'm posting a list I've compiled from the book.
If you come across other words or phrases you feel should be included on the list, feel free to email me with the words and I'll add them if they check out. Because language tends to be so fluid, I've chosen words from the eleventh century (11c) to the late eighteenth century (18c)--from 1000 a.d. to 1800 a.d.
Meantime, enjoy. (My apologies to those of you who are looking for slang in regard to the female gender. If I have time, I will eventually put those up but my main interest, of course, is the male gender at this time.)
